In 2022, the Irish Second-Level Students’ Union and Herstory Ireland collaborated to present STUDENT POWER, a Herstory Light Show event which sought to amplify student voices and highlight several causes that are close to our hearts. Including Climate Action, migrants rights, mental health, racism and more.
As part of this event, Herstory tasked art colleges around Dublin to create artwork for the lightshow. Asking us to each produce a portrait portraying an activist from a pre-selected list, who has been pivotal in the fight for change. My selected activist was Saoirse Exton, a climate activist in Ireland.
